December 20, 2025 – First IHB T-Shirt Samples Received

Island Hop Brewery reached another exciting brand milestone with the arrival of our first sample batch of IHB t-shirts.

The initial design was finalized on December 5, 2025, and a first sample order of 16 shirts in various sizes was placed the same day. The sample batch was received on December 20, 2025, allowing us to see the Island Hop Brewery artwork brought to life on finished apparel for the first time.

The shirts feature a bold Seychelles-inspired back design, paired with a smaller front chest logo for a clean and wearable look. This first batch is only the beginning, as we continue exploring future variations in design, shirt styles, colours, and other branded merchandise.

Over time, IHB apparel may be used for staff, promotions, and souvenir merchandise. For now, it is another encouraging step in bringing the Island Hop Brewery brand to life.

August 9, 2025 – Final Glass Selection

We finalized our glassware to elevate every pour in Seychelles. Guests will enjoy a 360 ml glass for a 300 ml serve and a 560 ml glass for a 500 ml serve. The profiles showcase aroma, preserve a fine head, and feel balanced in hand—ideal partners for Barbarons Blonde and Pirate Bay IPA.

July 18 – August 17, 2025 – Brewery Equipment Installation

Installation is advancing on schedule. Major vessels and utilities are set, with final hookups and quality checks progressing toward the target completion date. Each step brings us closer to serving fresh, locally crafted beer across Seychelles. Look for Island Hop Brewery on tap at partner venues across Seychelles as commissioning completes.

June 16, 2025 – Coaster Design Shortlist

We narrowed our coaster designs to two options that reflect Island Hop Brewery’s coastal spirit and clean, modern aesthetic. Physical samples are on the way so we can confirm colour, texture, and durability. Share your preference via our contact form.

July 8–12, 2025 – Cold Room & Grain Storage Install

The prefabricated duplex module housing our cold room and grain storage arrived on July 8. Assembly began July 10 and by July 12 we were about 80% complete—panels up, doors hung, and the footprint really taking shape. The refrigerated cold room will hold finished kegs at ideal distribution temperature to maintain the cold chain before delivery. The adjoining grain room is humidity-controlled to protect our malted barley; grain is milled to grist just before brew day and mashed with hot liquor in the mash tun, then lautered to produce sweet wort for the kettle boil.

June 2–25, 2025 – Roof Installation

Roof work kicked off on June 2 and wrapped up for the most part by June 25. The new structure ties the space together and improves weather protection across the courtyard.

March 12 – May 29, 2025 – Equipment Shipment and Arrival

Our brewing equipment and utilities shipped in two 40-foot containers on March 12, arrived at the Port of Seychelles on May 6, and were cleared and delivered to site on May 29. Seeing the hardware on the ground marks a major milestone and accelerates commissioning.

January 14, 2025 – Concrete Slab Progress

Work on the new concrete slabs moved ahead, creating a stronger and more functional foundation for the brewery’s operational areas.

August 16, 2024 – Water Abstraction License Granted

The Public Utilities Corporation granted our license to abstract water from the river at Barbarons Estate Distillery. We will filter and condition this pristine source to brewing standards, because exceptional water is essential to exceptional beer in Seychelles.

July 4, 2024 – Finalizing Our Logo

Our logo brings the brand story to life: a draft beer glass, an ocean wave and beach, the Seychelles fruit bat, a traditional katiolo boat, granite boulders, and local flora. It celebrates the place we call home and the craft that defines us.
